Vintage Wine Bar is located in the Blue Dome District of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Positioned directly beneath another Workstead project, The First Ward, the Wine Bar is an extension of Workstead’s exploration of the Art Deco period that can be found throughout downtown Tulsa.  Influenced by Art Deco forms, but rooted in the present, the bar is set within a sleeve of subtly stepping walls.  A long, low banquette anchors the interior side of the room, while a new stepped walnut bar anchors the window wall.  A monumental and central wine tower divides the main bar with the passage to an outdoor courtyard, baths, and kitchen beyond.  The bar, wine tower, and vitrine were created by local millworker Eric Fransen, while the furniture was sourced both locally and from national contemporary and antique dealers such as Lawson Fenning.  Farrow and Ball’s iconic color, Setting Plaster, softly covers the walls and is set against an iconic storefront painted in Black Blue.  The space is illuminated by a series of Workstead Signal Pendants, Globes, and Sconces, providing a jewel-like scale to this important wine destination in Tulsa.

In addition to crafting the interiors of Vintage, Workstead completed a comprehensive branding package for the project.  From the logo and website, to the menus and reserve list, the branding for Vintage is a natural extension of the interior design of the space.  Every aspect of the new Vintage Wine Bar was designed with the owners’ ambitions to create a new wine destination in the American Midwest.
